Sports Programs and Activities for Kids in Wayne County: Get Active and Have Fun

Are you looking for ways to keep your kids active and engaged? Wayne County Parks Recreation Department offers a variety of sports programs and activities for children of all ages and abilities. Our programs are designed to help children stay active, learn the value of friendly competition, and develop lifelong healthy habits. Our activities are physical and provide a great opportunity for kids to acquire new skills, work as a team, and connect with positive role models in an inclusive environment. For example, Buddy Ball is a joint venture between the Wayne County Parks Recreation Department and the Wayne County Special Education Parent Liaison.

It offers children with disabilities the chance to participate in minor league sports such as softball, soccer, fishing, basketball, and swimming with both typical and exceptional companions. To be eligible for the Every Kid sports pass, you must apply and submit a request with care. Youth sports provide a fun introduction to soccer, volleyball, baseball, and basketball and help keep children active. It's a great way to introduce your kids to the joys of physical activity while teaching them important lessons about teamwork and sportsmanship. At Wayne County Parks Recreation Department, we strive to make our sports programs accessible to everyone.

We understand that some families may need special accommodations in order for their children to participate. We are happy to make exceptions when necessary so that all kids can have the opportunity to get involved in our activities. We believe that sports programs are an important part of childhood development. They provide an opportunity for children to learn new skills, make friends, and have fun. So if you're looking for ways to keep your kids active and engaged, consider signing them up for one of our sports programs or activities!.
